Kenneth A McKenzie, MD, FRCS(C) Dr. Kenneth McKenzie completed his undergraduate studies, medical degree and orthopaedic training at the University of Toronto. He completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University Health Network, Toronto Western Hospital. As a Fellow for Dr. Darrell J. Ogilvie-Harris, Dr McKenzie was exposed to an elite level Orthopaedic/Sport Medicine practice, dealing with orthopaedic issues in professional athletes (Toronto Maple Leafs and National Ballet of Canada), as well as wide spectrum of youth and amateur athletic conditions. Dr. McKenzie is a Fellow of the Canadian Royal College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics) and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He holds hospital privileges at the Guelph General, in Guelph, Ontario, Where he performs hip and knee replacement surgery, arthroscopy and sports surgery as well as orthopaedic trauma surgery. He maintains an academic interest by being involved with the teaching of orthopadics to resident physicians from the University of McMaster, Department of Family Medicine. Dr McKenzie is presently team orthopaedic surgeon for the Guelph Storm OHL Jr. A hockey team and a Medical Director at Wellington Ortho & Rehab Associates in Guelph.
Patti Galvin, MD, FRCP(C)
Dr Patti Galvin is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), a subspecialty in Internal Medicine. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr Galvin has obtained Sports Medicine subspecialty with the American Board of PMR and Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine. She completed medical her medical training and residency at McMaster University. Prior to medical training, Dr Galvin completed a BSc (Hon Kinesiology) and Master's work at the University of Waterloo. Dr Galvin has served as Team Physician for Canada's National Women's Hockey Team (from 2006-2010) and the Canadian Amputee Hockey Team, attending international competitions, World Championships and Olympic competitions. She continues to work as team physician with the University of Guelph Varsity Women's Hockey Team; and OHL Guelph Storm Junior A Hockey Club; has provided CHL Top Prospects medical coverage. She is a service provider for the Canadian Sports Centre – Ontario and is currently a Medical Director at Wellington Ortho & Rehab Associates in Guelph. Other activities include work with Canadian National Wrestling Team, working with various running events and Miau Thay event coverage. She works with adult and pediatric patients, athletes and non-athletes; with joint, musculoskeletal (MSK) and neurological conditions including Concussion management and ImPACT testing. Clinical expertise includes osteoarthritis and joint disease, Electromyography (EMG), viscosupplementation injections, Platelet Rich Plasma injections, Botox injections, Orthotic and Gait, and general musculoskeletal injuries (ie knees, shoulders, back, foot and ankle etc). She is active in research at the University of Guelph in areas of Gatorade research, amputee, stroke rehab, and MSK pain.
Dr. Wayne Fung, MD FRCS(C)
Dr. Wayne Fung completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of the West Indies in Kingston Jamaica, and then emigrated to Canada where he completed the Ontario International Medical Graduates program. He subsequently completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Mcmaster University in Hamilton. Additional fellowship training was done in Upper extremity and Hand surgery at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital with Dr. E. A. Ouelltte and Dr P. Owens. During this fellowship, Dr. Fung was exposed to a variety of hand and upper extremity trauma and well as sports injuries with high profile clients, including the Miami Heat basket ball team.
Dr. Fung is a fellow of the Canadian Royal College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics). He holds privileges at the Guelph General Hospital where he performs upper extremity surgery focusing on elbow, wrist and hand pathology. He has academic interest in teaching at the undergraduate level and resident level for Mcmaster University. He is also currently a part of the team at Wellington Ortho & Rehab Associates.
